ANSA expands data analytics team in Aberdeen

ANSA Data Analytics (ANSA) welcomes senior data analyst Mohamed Selim as the latest hire in its Aberdeen office. Mohamed is a graduate of Herriot Watt University where he completed a Master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering.

Pressure Transient Analysis enables the characterisation of the geothermal wells behaviour

A recognised European operator in the renewable energy sector (Netherlands) requested Pressure Transient Analysis (PTA) support for their horizontal geothermal wells. These well tests were conducted in 2018 with the main purpose of getting an estimate of the reservoir and boundary parameters as well as the productivity of each well. The pressure and temperature data of multiple tests were recorded by the diver at 100 mbgl (no downhole gauge).

Algeria-based data analyst, Fares Terai, joins ANSA Data Analytics

Fares brings with him significant cased hole experience, increasing the expertise of our analyst team. He is settling in quickly and already contributing positively to the team. Fares joins an expanding and diverse international team of analysts and I look forward to him developing further within ANSA.

Combined interpretation of pulsed neutron and production logs as an integrated solution for hydrocarbon reservoirs

To determine the progress of water breakthrough in the producer well it was decided to invite ANSA to evaluate the distribution of fluids within the reservoir. The proposed perforated intervals were defined by the PNL interpretation, however, after shooting activities the well started with low production and understanding where the hydrocarbons were produced, the effectiveness of the perforations and the distribution of the hydrocarbon profile were the next steps to be resolved. Therefore, a Production Log was run to evaluate the production profile.
