We are thrilled to announce a significant milestone in the journey of one of our outstanding team members, Jay Purves. He has acquired a well-deserved promotion from a Junior Data Analyst to Data Analyst (Level I) at ANSA Data Analytics.

Jay possesses an undergraduate degree in Physics and a Masters in Data Science. Jay’s journey began with engineering aspirations, which seamlessly evolved into a devotion to data science during his university years. Jay embarked on his ANSA journey as a Trainee Analyst in November 2021. In his initial three months with us, he was immersed in an intensive on-the-job training program supporting the team on projects involving cased hole integrity analysis, in particular Multifinger caliper data. This program exposed him to legacy datasets, enabling him to grasp the nuances of the analysis process, from pre-job planning to the creation of comprehensive client reports. Through this hands-on experience, he cultivated a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities that were ahead.

Jay’s promotion comes as a direct result of his successful completion of the Competency Matrix, a comprehensive framework that outlines the skills and proficiencies required for each level of our data analytics team. Jay’s commitment to his own personal development and professional growth has been evident throughout his journey. In particular, his recent strides in the analysis of ultrasonic (both corrosion and cement evaluation) and electromagnetic data have not only showcased his expertise but have also underscored his dedication to mastering his craft.
