Ansa team Lewis Emslie and Jay Purves

SCIENCE GRADUATES BRING FRESH TALENT TO ANSA

We are delighted to welcome Lewis Emslie and Jay Purves to ANSA as our newest trainee analysts. Both have recently graduated from the University of Aberdeen and are joining our global team of experts who deliver trusted, top quality data analytics solutions to operators and service companies throughout the global energy industry.

Lewis has an undergraduate Masters degree in Chemistry, while Jay has an undergraduate degree in Physics and a Masters in Data Science.

Lewis said, “Throughout school, I really enjoyed Chemistry and always saw myself going down that route work-wise. Also, part of my Uni studies focused on the oil and gas and energy sectors, including data analysis, and that gave me some real insight into a future career path which I’m excited to be starting with ANSA.”

Jay commented, “I always had engineering aspirations, then at University I realised that data science is definitely my passion. I’m looking forward to applying the data-related aspects of what I learned in my role at ANSA.”

During their first three months, Lewis and Jay will be fully immersed in on-the-job training, working with legacy datasets to gain an understanding of the analysis process from data acquisition right through to creating final reports for clients. After that, they’ll be ready for the challenge of analysing newly acquired data, at all times supported and mentored by others in the ANSA team.

ANSA’s Managing Director, Alan Walsh said, “These are our first new appointments since ANSA became fully independent earlier this year, demonstrating our commitment to growing the business and delivering excellence through our data analytics solutions. This is a fantastic opportunity for Lewis and Jay to kickstart their careers and we look forward to seeing their skills develop and progress.”
